The murder of Henry Nowak was an appalling crime. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this awful time.
The law has run its course and his murderer has been convicted. The perpetrator is solely responsible for their actions.
Henry’s family have been clear that they do not want his death to be used as a focus for hatred and division. Yet some people are disrespecting this and stoking violence.
We condemn this and stand with local communities facing extremist violence as a result and with the Sikh community which is being targeted by racists.
