Thursday 1 October 2020 is Older People's Day - a day recognised by the United Nations as an opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the extraordinary contributions and achievements of older people.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought into sharp focus how crucial keeping active is to halt deconditioning amongst our elderly population.

To that end, we’ve been working with local Age UK’s across the country to take part in and host a number of events to showcase how vital a role our profession can play in the lives of older people and to provide older people with some helpful tips and advice on falls prevention and staying active at home.

Use the day to promote physio locally

Thousands of members have already signed up to take part in Older People’s Day, to showcase the positive impact of physio on patients.

If your service are planning an OPD activity or event, please inform the Campaigns and Regional Engagement Team via cre@csp.org.uk. Tell us where you are based and what you are planning so we can help make the most of your ideas.

Promote your event
