Key information and terminology
Where you gave consent to a particular use of your data and you wish to withdraw that consent, please contact data.protection@csp.org.uk. It is not always possible to do this, for example where the data has already been anonymised.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the use of data to be either necessary or proportionate to our aims as a trade union, membership organisation, professional body and/or business. We are collecting or using your information because it benefits you, our organisation or someone else, without causing an undue risk of harm to anyone.
Special category data is data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, and the processing of genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, data concerning health or data concerning a natural person's sex life or sexual orientation.
For some processing activities, more than one lawful basis may be relevant depending on the circumstances – see below for full details.
