PHP cyber security issue

As reported by the BBC, there has been a critical security vulnerability affecting PHP, a technology used by 70 per cent of websites worldwide. As a precaution, we have been working with our suppliers to apply security updates and protect Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) sites.

As a result, some of our online services were temporarily unavailable while we addressed this security risk to protect data from any potential cyber threat. This affected the following platforms:

  • main website (csp.org.uk)
  • virtual learning hub
  • mentoring platform
  • ePortfolio site – still temporarily unavailable
  • Physiotherapy journals platform – still temporarily unavailable
  • career framework site
  • library website
  • professional networks sites

We have actively worked to reduce any risk by adding in mitigating factors, including taking our sites and platforms offline temporarily.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this period.
