Tackling Waiting Lists Should be the Number One Priority for the Northern Ireland Executive
Commenting on the latest waiting list figures for Northern Ireland, Tom Sullivan, Public Affairs and Policy Manager for the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy said,
“It is shocking that one in four people in Northern Ireland is currently on a waiting list. Surgery is often a last resort for people who are no longer able to manage their symptoms and so the impact of this on patients’ physical and mental health will be huge.”

Lateral Flow Testing for Independent Practitioners in Northern Ireland
The CSP Office in Northern Ireland has been asked by the Public Health Agency to work with them to ensure that AHP Independent Practitioners (IPs) in NI (who are not employed in a HSC setting or any other setting setting that makes lateral flow tests available to them) are aware that they can have access to the Lateral Flow Device (LFD) testing kits.

CSP motion at ICTU conference: The Northern Ireland Executive should prioritise community rehabilitation as part of Covid recovery
The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) will today (23rd March) put forward a motion, at the Northern Ireland Committee Irish Congress of Trade Union (NICICTU) virtual conference, calling for the Northern Ireland Executive to prioritise rehabilitation as a part of Covid recovery and demand that politicians and policy makers take urgent action to ensure that this is delivered.
