Applications

Interviews

All applicants are screened against the qualification, knowledge, skills and abilities and experience detailed in the job specification.  If successfully shortlisted the applicant will be contacted within 5 days of the closing date by our HR department to arrange an interview date and time. 

All interviews are by panel. Interviews for clinical vacancies involve a combination of competency based questions, a scenario, literacy and numeracy tests.

We welcome informal visits from potential applicants.  Should you wish to do this, please contact our HR Team below, who will be more than happy to arrange this for you.

The HR department will make contact with successful applicants to commence the recruitment process and send a new starter pack consisting of an offer letter, two copies of the Job description (one of which should be signed and returned), a set of policies to review and sign, an Occupational Health form, details of the DBS process if the role is eligible for a clearance, and a payroll form. All documentation should be returned to the HR department.

Where practicable, unsuccessful applicants will be notified within 5 days of the closing date. Please do not let unsuccessful shortlisting deter you from applying for other suitable roles. 

Please note there are certain vacancies for which we receive a high volume of applications, where this occurs we may have to bring forward the closing date. Should this occur, notification will be posted in the vacancy listing. 

References

References are only requested on offer of the role. Offer of employment is subject to two satisfactory references, one of which must be from the current/most recent employer. We will never contact a referee without your prior consent.

Occupational Health

Once received back from the successful applicant, the Occupational Health form is sent to our Occupational Health Manager. They will clear the applicant for work or make contact to discuss the form as well as discussing any relevant immunisations.

Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) formerly CRB

For all eligible roles a DBS clearance is required. We utilise the services of an independent organisation by the name of Ucheck for DBS checking. Once cleared by Occupational Health, the applicant will receive an email from Ucheck containing a unique link to a form for their completion housed on the Ucheck website. Should you be unable to access email or have any issues, the HR department will be more than willing to assist. 

Once completed the successful applicant should make an appointment with the HR department to present identification and evidence of their Right to Live and Work in the UK.
