Professional liability insurance
CSP PLI scheme
All physiotherapists must have appropriate indemnity as a condition of their registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Website, digital and print issues
Many physiotherapists want to broadcast their services and knowledge to a wider audience. Using the World Wide Web, internet services and publishing material in print or digital media has its own set of insurance issues you need to consider.
CSP PLI in the Republic of Ireland
The Republic of Ireland (ROI) is considered an overseas territory for the purposes of the CSP PLI scheme, however special circumstances may apply as the ROI shares a land border with the UK. You must be clear on your circumstances to determine if you require additional PLI to work in the ROI. If your question is not answered here you should contact Graybrook directly.
Understanding indemnity and insurance terms
We know the topic of insurance is extremely complex and difficult to understand. Here we explain why it is important to understand the basics, what certain terms mean and how they interact.
Student practice placements
All student members of the CSP benefit from the CSP PLI scheme when needed for their pre-registration physiotherapy activity. This may be as part of HEI arranged practice-placements or individual work-experience activity. Where you do your placement might affect what arrangements are in place? Here's our advice to CSP members.
Additional CSP insurance schemes
The CSP PLI scheme meets most members’ needs. Some members may need additional insurance, some of which is available to CSP members via Graybrooks.
