Support workers are a necessary and valued workforce that needs to be trained appropriately and given the opportunities to develop their skills and prospects for career development and the CSP are constantly working to help guide and support them in every way through our functions.
This paper is a short summary of the history of the Support Worker within the CSP from their being able to join 'a list' in 1994 to the present day.
