As part of our Love activity, Hate exercise? campaign, on Monday 1 October, Older People’s Day will focus on helping people stay active as they get older.
Retirement might bring to mind images of restful and relaxing days but our campaign will show that this is also a good time to increase health and well-being.
With the right sort of exercise, physios can help patients reduce their risk of illness, injury and falls by building muscle and bone strength.

How the campaign will help
If there are activities your patients are already doing, our campaign will help them do more of them. For patients who fear and avoid exercise we’ll be showing them fun and simple ways to get active.
The campaign will also focus on useful strength and balance exercises that can reduce the risk of a fall.
Use the day to promote physio locally
Thousands of members have already signed up to take part in Older People’s Day, to showcase the positive impact of physio on patients, whilst also seizing opportunities to influence local healthcare decision makers.
