The New Foscote Hospital is one of the few long standing independently owned hospitals in the UK, proudly supporting the people in Banbury, surrounding regions and beyond for over 40 years.  Due to recent investment, and resulting expansion we are looking for energetic and enthusiastic people to join our team, and are particularly interested in those with a desire to think outside the box and who want to be part of driving the hospital forwards. Core Responsibilities:

 

  • To manage a clinical caseload in Outpatients, providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment to the highest standard
  • Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment for Inpatients participating in these patients’ pre-admission and follow-up care as appropriate
  • To provide exemplary physiotherapy care for patients
  • Encourage, develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self
  • Promote best evidence-based practice
  • Apply and ensure others comply with legislation, policies and procedures
  • Provide administrational and organisational support to the Physiotherapist Clinical Lead
  • Maintain professional standards in accordance with the CSP Code of Professional Conduct and Standards of Practice

 

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • To undertake training and development to provide new services for commercial opportunities to improve the profitability of the department – examples - Pilates / Acupuncture / Hand Therapy
  • To participate in weekend rota
  • Mentor and participate in CPD training
  • To provide excellent customer service and promote a professional and caring environment.
  • To ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory and best practice frameworks
  • To ensure the department maintains Physiotherapy accreditation
  • To take an active role in the administration of the physiotherapy department, including, but not limited to, billing, patient records, and general day to day administration.
  • To attend meetings and represent the department when required
  • Maintain relationships with consultants, colleagues, local GPs and patient services
  • To control ordering and stock
  • Keep abreast of developments in physiotherapy by attending relevant courses and maintaining an up-to-date personal portfolio

 

 

Who we are looking for:

 

  • Must be a Chartered Physiotherapist and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
  • Must be Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Knowledge of CSP and HCPC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice
  • Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care Quality Commission Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role of at least 5 years, full time post qualification to adhere to insurance requirments
  • To be fully conversant with all Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to learn and use internal and external IT systems
  • Ability to demonstrate high standards of verbal and written communication
  • Ability to deal with matters of a sensitive and, at times, distressing nature
  • Time management & organisational skills
  • Ability to respect patient confidentiality
