Join our innovative and enthusiastic team to inspire the physiotherapists of the future. We have many exciting developments underway, including a new apprenticeship route, and we need physiotherapists with a passion for student education and the profession to join us in delivering them. We are seeking to employ a 0.5 FTE Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy to help us achieve our ambitious plans for the future.

The Department of Allied Health Professions, Sport and Exercise has an excellent portfolio of education and research. You will teach within a department delivering physiotherapy and other health related programmes.

We are looking to appoint a physiotherapist with a broad range of practice experience able to teach in many areas across the curriculum. You will be committed to partnership working and an enthusiasm for practice research is particularly welcome. You will have experience of working with students and will be able to inspire them to excel through positive role modelling and innovative teaching. This appointment will involve practical and theoretical teaching on the physiotherapy
degree course via both the undergraduate and apprenticeship routes. You will have a key role in
supporting apprentice learners develop and achieve their individual action plans through ongoing, close collaboration with learners and their employers. You will be expected to support further developments within the department, both in a profession specific and multi-disciplinary context, including expansions into the international market.

Registration with the HCPC as a physiotherapist prior to commencing and a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification are essential. You must be a member of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or have capacity to obtain membership within 12 months of appointment. You must be prepared to register and study towards a doctorate if you do not already hold one.
