Lecturer in Physiotherapy (Exercise Science)
Salary: £34,804 to £49,553 per annum – Grade 7/8
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the physiotherapy team within the School of Health Professions to contribute specialist expertise in the field of rehabilitation through exercise science and physical activity. We run a well-established BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, two newly accredited programmes (MPhysio Integrated Masters and MSc Pre-registration) as well as a range of post graduate programmes. We are part of the school of health professions in bespoke facilities. We have a strong emphasis on inter-professional working, and welcome suitably qualified applicants from relevant fields, including physiotherapy and health related exercise/sport science.
You will contribute to the delivery of outstanding pre-registration and specialist postgraduate education, facilitating a high-quality student experience. You will actively contribute to research and scholarly activity within the team, building on our strong reputation for success in delivering high quality research outputs. You will participate in inter-professional collaboration, quality assurance processes and performance review as appropriate.
You will be a registered physiotherapist (or eligible for UK registration) or exercise/ sport scientist with appropriate academic and professional experience inexercise physiology and prescription for people with complex health issues. As this role will include a significant post graduate contribution you will have a higher degree (ideally a completed PhD or working towards completion).
