Orchard Hill College (the College) and Orchard Hill College Academy Trust (the Trust) together form Orchard Hill College and Academy Trust (OHC&AT), a family of specialist education providers for pupils and students from nursery to further education across London, Surrey and Sussex. As an outstanding provider and Academy sponsor, Orchard Hill College has a strong track record for making a positive impact within the local communities it serves.

Our ambition is to contribute further to improving the education offered for all pupils and students in our communities, including those with SEN. The College offers specialist educational programmes for pupils and students aged 16 and over in six main centres and additional satellite provision in London and the South. The Academy Trust enables us to build on and extend scope of our work in these geographical areas, so that Academy pupils can also benefit from our expertise and access a greater range of opportunities arising from our strong community and stakeholder networks.

Together with the other college teams, we provide a non-residential, stimulating learning environment for students across a wide range of diagnoses including moderate/severe/and profound learning disabilities, Autism, physical disabilities, mental health and additional diagnoses.

We require a Specialist Physiotherapist to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team (including SLTs, OTs and Music Therapists). You will support our students in accessing all aspects of the curriculum, as well as liaising with parents/carers and other external professionals and agencies. You will also work very closely with teaching staff, helping to integrate therapy and learning objectives, as well as educating and supporting teaching staff in such aspects as postural management, manual handling, delivering therapy programmes, aquatic therapy and use of specialised equipment. In addition the post will involve delivering training to other staff and provision of aquatic therapy. The post may involve working at any of the College’s centres.
