Service: First Contact Physiotherapists (FCP)

Role: Advanced Physiotherapist

Location:  The Station Practice

Hours:  Part-time and full-time applicants welcome

Salary:   8a Depending on experience

Closing Date: 14.12.2018

The Station Practice is a forward thinking, innovative, large general practice located in the heart of Hastings, East Sussex.   We have 14’400 patients, 9 General Practitioners, 6 trained Practice Nurses, 4 Health Care Assistants, 2 Practice Pharmacists and a part-time Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

We are committed to putting our patients first and are looking for creative, robust, autonomous professionals who share our passion, visions and values.  If this is you read on……….

The role:

The Physio First Service has been commissioned as a result of the General Practice, Five Year Forward View strategy. As an experienced Advanced Physiotherapist (ESP) you will provide a Physio First service for General Practice.  You will be the first point of contact with patients experiencing musculoskeletal pain.  These patients will either self -refer, be ‘care-navigated’ into the service, or referred directly by the G.P. You will provide an assessment service, diagnosing and onward referring patients where required, in addition to requesting diagnostics, providing injection therapy, brief interventions, self-management techniques and follow-up care when required.

You:

You will be an experienced Advanced Physiotherapist, who is not concerned by autonomy, self-management and a challenge!  Alongside your passion for innovative practice you will have patients at the core of what you do.  You will provide clinical expertise within a primary care setting, ensuring that patients are treated at the right time, in the right place, diverting this work directly from General Practitioners.  You will be supported by the Senior Partner to feel confident in managing and navigating patients in the new and exciting role.

The rewards:

You will have a competitive salary, with access to NHS pension, in addition to flexible working options.   The Station Practice will also support your professional development through supervision and agreed training.   We welcome part-time and full-time applicants.

Interested?  Then we’d love to hear from you!  Please submit your CV or email Claire.critoph@nhs.net if you require any further information.
