Information about joining or rejoining the NHS to support the Covid-19 workforce.
During the current and ongoing Covid-19 surge, our workforce supporting the NHS is once again under significant pressure. It is possible for those outside the NHS and those currently not on the HCPC register to offer support if they wish.
For information on how to join the NHS workforce to support the Covid vaccination programme please see the FAQs on the Covid-19 vaccine page.

I am a registered physiotherapist not currently working in the NHS and would like to join the workforce to help. How do I do this?

I am a physiotherapist and not currently working but would like to return to help out. How do I do this?
- To work as a physiotherapist you must have a current HCPC registration. Former registrants may be eligible to be readmitted to the register if they came off the main register within the last three years. All requests have to go through fitness to practice checks. If a former registrant does want to apply for re-entry to the register information can be found on the Readmission page on the HCPC website.
