New CSP library system allows members to find evidence 24/7 from mobiles

The CSP has revamped its online library service to make it easier for members to access a wealth of information, evidence and knowledge.

The new look Discovery search system provides a single search interface for all of the society’s online resources.

Linda Griffiths, CSP information and research officer, said it would enable members to carry out literature searches ‘anywhere, anytime and from any device’.

She said: ‘It allows you to access all of our online search resources, including content from our subscribed online databases, online catalogue, e-journals.

‘As well as the usual clinical literature, it covers a wide range of subjects and formats; anything from leadership to apprenticeships; planning for the future to the history of physiotherapy; books on the shelves to online reports and digital or paper copy information.’

14-day download facility

The Discovery system also provides access the society’s e-book collection, which members can access online or download for 14 days.

It enables members to request the full text of documents with restricted access by using the ‘Request a copy – charges may apply’ tab.
