iCSP promotes joint-working between trusts

A conversation on interactiveCSP, the society’s member networking website, has led to physio staff from trusts almost 100 miles apart taking part in joint working.

Anna Mughal, paediatric physiotherapy team lead at Frimley Health NHS Trust in Surrey, was using the site to discuss her trust’s paediatric on-call training programme using clinical simulation.

Helen Carter, who is part of the senior management team for children’s physiotherapy at Northampton General Hospital Trust, was looking to set up a similar programme within her trust. She made contact through the closed networking site with Ms Mughal and, after further discussions, travelled to Surrey to take part in a training session.

Ms Mughal said: ‘Last week we were able to meet when she came to observe one of our training sessions in the simulation suite.

‘The process was really helpful for both of us in terms of joint working, progressing training and sharing ideas.

‘It was really a testament to the iCSP discussion boards that we got to be in contact with each other.’
