Meet the Yorkshire and Humber Honorary Chair Claire Arditto

by Catherine Chappell

The CSP Yorkshire and Humber Regional Network has a brand new Chair. Claire Arditto is now in post and is looking forward to being your ‘on the ground’ local CSP contact.

Claire qualified in 1993 from Bradford School of Physiotherapy and followed with a Masters in Health Sciences in 1998 from Birmingham University. Her clinical background is in neuro rehabilitation and for the past 11 years she has been employed at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.

Claire is currently Professional Lead for Physiotherapy and AHP Lead in long-term and unscheduled care and continues with a clinical caseload. In addition to holding the post of Network Chair she has been an elected CSP Council member since October 2015 in the NHS nationally elected seat.

Claire said: “During my time as Chair I hope to work with the core committee to promote the CSP vision in the region and look forward to focussing on engaging, empowering and influencing alongside members from all sectors of the profession.

“I’m already a CSP Council member in the National NHS elected seat and when I heard that the Regional Network was going through a period of change I saw this as a clear invitation to get even more active and involved. I have a strong desire to engage and support CSP members in the region with a goal to promote the physiotherapy profession and strengthen the Network.

"This role includes great opportunities to engage with members and support them through learning events and campaigns. I especially like that the Network is flexible and inclusive of all members.

"The Network is the CSP where you live and work! We want to hear about local issues and opportunities and the core team and I welcome members from across the region to get in touch and get involved. We look forward to welcoming you.”
