The CSP’s Retirement Association (RA) has elected a new committee and is on a drive to increase membership.
The new chair is Chris Foster, who has been a committee member for six years.
One of her goals over the next two years will be to complete the CSP’s Oral History project.
This is a digital recording of interviews with physiotherapists documenting the changes within the profession from 1970 to 2010.
It will be held by the British Library and the CSP.
Her other aim is to have a group of RA members in each English regional network. ‘At the moment we have three or four groups, but hopefully we will expand to have representatives on each of the network boards.
Retired physiotherapists have so much experience and I think there are a lot of members who would like to keep in touch with what’s happening in the profession,’ she said.
