Burning question - rights during potential redundancy

‘I may be at risk of redundancy: what are my rights?’

If your post is at risk of redundancy your employer must tell you in writing and invite you to a consultation meeting. If more than 20 people are at risk then the employer must consult collectively with unions or employee representatives.

You are entitled to know the selection criteria and your individual score if appropriate.

Your employer must also draw your attention to any suitable alternative employment.
