Day One:

Kinesiology Taping for Beginners - When, Where, Why, Who?

This course, for qualified physiotherapists and occupational therapists, will comprise of formal teaching and practical sessions all delivered via an online media platform. The course will explore basic kinesiology taping techniques and tips along with the concepts supporting their use.


Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course the student will:

  • Know the concepts and claims made for the use of kinesiology tape
  • Know indications and contraindications for the use of kinesiology tape
  • Know how kinesiology tape differs to other tapes
  • Have practical experience in the application of kinesiology tape

CPD: 7.25 hours


Day Two:

The Use of Kinesiology Tape in the Adult with Neurological Damage.

This course, delivered via an online media platform, is designed for physiotherapists and occupational therapists working in neurology who have already attended/undertaken a basic kinesiology taping course. It will explore possible kinesiology taping techniques for use with the adult neurological patient. It will build on the students clinical reasoning skills and response-based practice to decide how, when, where and with which patients to try taping. The course will comprise of formal teaching/lecturers and interactive sessions including case studies.


Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course the student will:

  • Understand the concept of using kinesiology tape with adults with neurological damage
  • Have been demonstrated techniques believed to facilitate / inhibit muscle activity in neurology
  • Have been demonstrated techniques for upper limb taping for neurological patients
  • Have been demonstrated techniques for lower limb taping for neurological patients
  • Have been demonstrated taping for patients with lymphedema and bruising.


CPD: 7.25 hours


ESSENTIAL: to enable the course to be delivered online delegates require access to a computer/laptop with camera with good internet facilities


***The two days can be done individually but you MUST have either attended day 1 or provide certificate evidence of having attended a kinesiology taping course prior to attending day 2. Also, delegates will need to purchase their own rolls of tape prior to the course.***

Fee: £145 per day or £260 for both days

Limited funded places may be available for AHPs & Nurses working for the NHS within the East Midlands.
