The Level 1 Neuroplasticity in Parkinson's course has been designed for physiotherapists with an interest in treating people with Parkinson’s and has now been taught to over 4000 people in 4 different languages. Learn how to improve function, quality of life and long-term exercise behaviour in people with Parkinson’s from very early post diagnosis through to the later stages of the condition. 

This course will give you the foundations to apply the core concepts of this intensive and neuro-active exercise approach immediately in your sessions as well as get you up-to-date with the latest evidence showing the importance of exercise and why effective prescription is so important.

  • The pathophysiology of Parkinson’s

  • How to tailor exercise effectively for the three different types of Parkinson’s

  • The seven core principals of neuroplasticity and how to implement them effectively

  • How to create an enriched and motivating exercise environment

  • Learn how to empower your patients and create long-term exercise behaviours

This course is conducted ONLINE only and comprises FIVE modules. Each module includes webinar content, literature and a quiz. You should expect this course to take around 15 hours to complete. You will have eight weeks to complete the course. This course is a pre-requisite to completing level two.
