Adapted Tai Chi Exercises – Part 2

Pre-requisite – The attendee is required to have attended the introductory Adapted Tai Chi Exercises course and to have integrated the principles of Tai Chi and some of the exercises into their clinical practice.

The Adapted Tai Chi Exercises Part 2 course was created following the success of the first course and feedback from course attendees who wanted to attend a second workshop to further their knowledge about Tai Chi and have more practice of the exercises.

The aims of this day are to review knowledge from the introductory course and gain a further/advanced understanding of:

  • The principles of Tai Chi.
  • The external choreography and internal aspects of the 18 Shibashi Exercises and perform them in sitting and standing.
  • How to adapt and integrate Tai Chi exercises into clinical practice.

There will be a large practical element and an opportunity to experience moving in a relaxed and efficient manner. There will be discussion of specific cases and attendees will be invited to share their experiences with implementing the Adapted Tai Chi exercises since attending the first course.
