CSP Annual General Meeting

Please see below summary of the 2023 AGM.

Baroness Ilora Finlay
Baroness Ilora Finlay, CSP President

Thank you from CSP's President, Baroness Finlay of Llandaff

It was my pleasure to welcome more than 70 CSP members to the Society’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), which was held virtually on Wednesday 13 December 2023.

I expressed my sincere thanks to all member physiotherapists and support workers for their work throughout the past year.

At the meeting, the chief executive Karen Middleton presented the 2022 Impact Report and accounts. Even though 2022 may seem like a long time ago, it is a requirement to inform the membership at the AGM what the CSP has done in the previous year and to present the accounts. Alex Mackenzie, Vice President also welcomed new CSP Committee members.

Ishmael Beckford, CSP Chair of Council, then addressed members and shared his reflections on 2023. We also had the opportunity to express our thanks to Karen Middleton, CSP Chief Executive,  who is retiring at the end of 2023.

Members were delighted to hear a lecture from Professor Beverley Harden MBE.   Beverley spoke about ‘optimising physiotherapy scope of practice - past, present and future'.

The full voting reportImpact report for 2022, Professional Awards and the accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022 from the meeting held on the 13 December 2023 are available to members.

If you have any questions regarding the AGM, the CSP governance team will be happy to help. Contact them by emailing governance@csp.org.uk.
