We’re first class and won’t settle for second class pay deals, Northern Ireland members to tell politicians

CSP members will be telling politicians seeking votes in the upcoming Northern Ireland assembly elections that they’re no longer willing to be treated as second class NHS workers.

The Northern Ireland Government has ignored Pay Review Body recommendations for two successive years, making awards that have left NHS staff with lower pay levels than the rest of the UK.

Health Minister Simon Hamilton said in January that he would impose a pay settlement for 2015/16 of either a 1% non-consolidated increase or incremental progression.
