The CSP will be there with our fluorescent flags, enormous inflatables and some jolly music. We are likely to be marching alongside other health staff.

Join us to say loud and clear that we want a properly funded NHS.

We ask for your name and contact details and an optional short written pledge to help us mobilise others. By pledging, it also helps us plan the day and we have your contact details to alert you of any last minutes issues, including for example if you can't find us.

Travel and travel costs

The CSP appreciates that travel could be a significant cost for some members and wants a robust, well-attended event, so we will try to help where we can. Available funds are limited and will be offered according to the following criteria:

  • The CSP can support members attending on May 12 by assisting with costs of up to £40
  • Financial assistance will be on a first come first served basis and members requesting assistance must contact the CSP prior to booking travel
  • You would need to claim as a CSP member in the normal fashion using the CSP expense claim form, including receipts (an expense form will be sent to you once you have contacted the CSP)
  • Financial assistance will only be made for reasonable travel costs
  • We are unable to provide financial assistance for accommodation or food on the day

Affordable travel options

Please check the TUC website regularly, as it lists when and where coaches have been organised.

Assembly

The march will assemble at Victoria Embankment between Hungerford Bridge and Blackfriars Bridge from 11am. It will move off at 12pm (and march to Hyde Park. The rally will take place in Hyde Park, finishing at 4pm).

The CSP will be assembling in the red zone (zone 8 on the downloadable map), marching alongside other health workers like the midwives and radiographers. You should be able to see us clearly, as we'll have our banner, flags and giant inflatables.

Alternatively meet us at CSP HQ at 14 Bedford Row, London, WC1R 4ED at 10-11.00am.
