This joint initiative will invite applications from research groups for awards that will produce evidence on the quality, accessibility and organisation of health and care services relevant to people with arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions.
The focus of the call will be in four major areas:
- health and care service improvement
- health promotion/prevention
- health economic evaluation
- health data intelligence and linkage
Applications with a physiotherapy focus will be considered for co-funding. It is anticipated that awards, will be for a duration of up to 36 months and cost in the region of £50,000 to £250,000.
To be eligible for consideration for CSPCT/ARUK co-funding, applications must be led by a principal investigator who is a physiotherapist and member of the CSP. The CSPCT would particularly welcome applications that are strongly collaborative (across different sites, settings and disciplines), from primary care-based services, and from those evaluating new models of musculoskeletal care.
Please note the 2016 application deadline has now passed but see more information on the Arthritis Research UK website.
