Allied Health Professions Research Network
The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is the major funder of the Allied Health Professions Research Network (AHPRN).
The AHPRN is a national network of locally responsive research Hubs and welcomes students, new and experienced researchers, clinicians, managers, consultants and academics from all Allied Health Professions.
The local Hubs provide bespoke support for an individual’s research needs, either by offering 1:1 support or signposting to an expert in that field. Most of the Hubs provide free of charge workshops and seminars to further your research skills.
iCSP research network
More than 5,000 CSP members use the iCSP research network to post discussions, news and resources related to every aspect of research.
The network offers fortnightly dedicated bulletins to keep members up-to-date on the latest activity and contributions. iCSP research network
NIHR Clinical Research Networks
The NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) provides support to individuals undertaking clinical research in the NHS setting and can help with the planning, setting up and delivery phases of research studies.
This includes providing funding streams to research studies that aim to ‘benefit NHS patients and improve the health service’ and can also help accessing groups and participants for inclusion in your study.
NIHR Research Design Service
The NIHR Research Design Service (RDS) provides specific support in developing and designing high quality research proposals.
In particular, the RDS offers advice preparing grant applications, including statistics, quantitative and qualitative research techniques, clinical trials, evidence synthesis, health economics, epidemiology, public and patient involvement, ethics and governance.
There are ten NIHR Research Design Service, one in each Strategic Health Authority within England. Each Service has a website which contain a wide range of useful resources.
