Beginning in the North East, the Physiotherapy Works Locally events brought members together to inspire change and innovation across all specialisms and fields of activity.
With presentations from CSP staff and local leaders, the idea was to equip members with the confidence and ideas to do things differently.
A key part of the events are the pledges to promote physiotherapy, which you can also do online
At each event members pledged to prove that physiotherapy works, as part of a nationwide drive to demonstrate the value of our services.
Pledges included promises to promote the values of physiotherapy, or to actively use elevator pitches. Read more about the pledges made on the pledge wall.
At the events, members were given a number of resources designed to show that physiotherapy works.
Available online, the evidence briefings, structural guides and advice allow members across the country to make the case and get services ready for market.
Sue Hayward-Giles introduces the cost of falls calculator, which you can download below
The falls prevention economic model is a key tool to show how much physiotherapy can save when commissioning care for older people.
If you were unable to make it to an event, the calculator and comprehensive instructions are available on the cost of falls webpage.
