Searching the online library catalogue

To start your search, enter a few words to describe what you are looking for in the Keyword(s) field, and then press Enter or the Search button. Note: The Online Library Catalogue now uses a breadcrumb trail is a navigation aid. This allows you move back through your searches and the results. The breadcrumb trail is under the top menu bar. The Back Button should be greyed out.

Once you have your results you can refine your search by using the Filters (sometimes called Limiters or Facets) on the left of the screen.

You can filter by Subject; Format; Publication Date; Copy Location; Author; Classmarks or E-Resources.

On the right of the screen, at the top of list of results, you can re-sort the results and you can select how many you want to see per page.

You can now reserve items for borrowing in both the short records and the full records.

As in the previous catalogue, the first results displayed are short records. Click on a title to access the full details.

On the right of the screen are a number of choices.

The default setting displays Availability. You can also see:

  • Other information
  • Also borrowed
