CSP position statement on practice-based learning

This statement sets out the CSP approach to practice-based learning of preregistration physiotherapy education in terms of scope, volume and characteristics.

It is designed to support members and service providers reflect on their current and future capacity to contribute to this learning.

CSP learning & development principles

The learning & development principles predicate CSP accreditation for physiotherapy qualifying programmes within the UK. They are intended to help course providers develop their programmes to prepare learners for current and emerging physiotherapy roles.

Principles two and six in particular set out CSP expectations of quality practice-based learning within preregistration programmes.

The CSP's Physiotherapy Framework is a resource designed to promote and develop physiotherapy practice. It defines and describes the behaviours, values, knowledge and skills required for contemporary physiotherapy practice.
