This fund only supports applications for national academically accredited or validated programmes, such as national vocational qualifications, BTEC awards, access and postgraduate courses. The fund does not support member costs towards undertaking part-time or full-time qualifying degrees in physiotherapy.
If you are unsure of a programme's eligibility please contact the programme provider or the awards administrator.
Applications for funding should normally be made in the year in which the programme is to be undertaken.
Applications can be made retrospectively, providing they are submitted by a deadline which falls within the same calendar year in which the programme has been completed.
Award amounts will be based on the amount of credit carried by the course. As a guide successful applicants would receive no more than:
- £300 - for a 20 credit course
- £600 - for a 40 credit course
- £800 - for a 120 credit course
- £1200 for a 180 credit course (MSc)
- £1500 for a PhD
How to apply
There are two rounds of funding per year for this award - in the spring and autumn. The next deadline for the spring round of applications is Tuesday 21 March at 5pm.
Applications for Academically Accredited Courses awards are to be submitted through the updated version of the CSP ePortfolio, a personal interactive online space specifically designed to support your continuing professional development (CPD), by the deadline date.
The planned upgrade to the Educational Wards application section of ePortfolio is still in progress with the aim of completion by mid-February. To this end, a temporary application process has been created to allow you to prepare your application in advance: use the document link at the foot of this page for full details.
You will then be required to complete and submit your application form on ePortfolio by the deadline date. Applications will not be accepted via email.
We are aware this is not ideal, please bear with us as we update ePortfolio to improve the awards application process for all members.
