The CSP is hosting a workshop for members to meet, share ideas and discuss possible collaborations for research into better care for multiple sclerosis (MS).

The workshop will be an opportunity to physios to share ideas about MS research

The workshop on 28 October will support members from around the UK who are interested in applying for part of a £300,000 research fund.

The CSP Charitable Trust and the MS Society are collaborating on the jointly-funded award, which was created to foster research into the impact of clinical interventions and service delivery models for MS. A call for applications opens on 24 October.

In their proposals, researchers should say how they will create evidence about the quality, accessibility and organisation of health and care services for people with MS.

Applications will be expected to reflect the current context of the health system, by focusing on affordability and innovation in services, as well as demonstrating improved outcomes.

Ruth ten Hove, the CSP’s head of development and research, said: ‘Collaborative applications – across different sites, settings and disciplines – are particularly welcome. But the principal investigator must be a physiotherapist and a member of the society.’

If you would like more details about the workshop, to be held in London, email Liz Scott on scotte@csp.org.uk
