Student reps prepare for conference

Physiotherapy students are preparing to meet for the CSP student representatives development weekend at the Queens Hotel in Leeds, on 18-19 February.

Topics on the agenda include the role of physiotherapists in long-term conditions and prevention; communicating with patients; the secrets of marketing in tough times; and the 2012 Olympics.

Physiotherapist Lynn Booth, the clinical lead for physical therapies on the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) is one of the keynote speakers at the event.

Ms Booth will be speaking about her previous Olympic experiences, her current work with national squads from England hockey and the England amateur golf squads and her upcoming responsibilities for LOCOG and the 2012 London Games.
