Dementia and critical care join Physiotherapy Works series

7 October 2011 - 7:52am

Members have access to two new Physiotherapy Works leaflets, both launched at CSP Congress 2011.

The latest briefings focus on critical care and dementia, highlighting the vitally important role physiotherapy plays in both these fields.

As well as providing quick reference data for physios, they are chiefly designed to inform and educate people of influence in health care.

‘The Physiotherapy Works briefings are a great resource members can use to make the case for physiotherapy,’ explains CSP professional adviser Alex Lipman.

‘They can assist members through the commissioning process and are also intended for decision makers such as commissioners and politicians.’

The A4 leaflets explain the key issues about critical care and dementia, along with relevant statistics and case studies that demonstrate the benefits of physiotherapy.

Each briefing also illustrates the clinical and cost effectiveness of physiotherapy.

Importantly, all the information is evidence-based and the leaflets have been specifically designed to communicate the economic case for physiotherapy in an easily understandable manner.

The briefings are available for members to download, free of charge, at:
