Globalisation leads to glum employees, says ILO

The International Labour Organisation (ILO) has found that globalisation has led to greater economic insecurity and unhappiness for many of the world's population. The UK is ranked 15th on the economic security index. More details here...

The Geneva-based International Labour Organisation (ILO) has released a report that warns of the impact of globalisation on many of the world's population. Economic insecurity, fear and unhappiness are some of the effects of globalisation, the ILO says.

In an 'economic security index' that ranks countries by the security their workers enjoy in terms of income, union representation, safety at work, healthcare and social security etc, the UK is ranked 15th in the world out of 90 countries.
