Workout@Work! 2017

Workout@Work! (W@W!) launches from 1 May and you can run an event anytime up until 31 July.

Workout at Work is back for another year and continues to promote physical and mental wellbeing at work but this year our main focus is on influencing local health care decision makers - encouraging them to choose physiotherapy in the future.

File 203313Members are critical in influencing decision makers to recognise the value of physio in primary care. With a big push on this in 2017, we would encourage you to run a W@W! influencing event to target this audience.

The updated W@W! pack suggests ideas to get you thinking about a suitable event and provides new resources to ensure your event runs smoothly. You can also adapt these to create your own influencing event and show decision makers the impact that physiotherapy can have.

Use W@W! to influence

Consider organising an event in a GP surgery, community centre or invite your trust CEO or a commissioner to attend your event and think about how you might use this opportunity to highlight the clinical and cost effectiveness of physio. For details on how to do this, download a copy of the member resource pack:

CSP support for my event

Once registered you will receive a box of CSP's fit for work materials to distribute at your event. And additional downloadable resources are available on the resources page:

Other ways to get involved

File 179934If staging an influencing event isn't feasible you can still get involved in other ways. For example, distribute the CSP's Fit for Work leaflets, tweet our W@W! messages or hold an event of your choice - at your workplace, a public space or another employer's premises. And there's no need to do it all alone - share the workload by putting on a joint event with other members.

Register to take part this year

The simplified registration form asks about your plans and the address where resources should be sent to. Only one lead member for each event needs to register - and don't forget to log in before you click!
