Welcome to the North East Regional Network. All the latest news, event information and discussions relevant to the North East region are featured on these pages. Additionally, you can follow the region on Twitter and 'like' us on Facebook

The North East Regional Network is for all CSP members in the region whether qualified, associates, students or retired. The network organises regional events open for all members to attend four times a year. They are a good way to catch up on your CPD, learn about opportunities and link up with others.
The North East Regional Network is managed by a core group of members who organise the network activities and events. The North East Regional Network also has an elected representative for the region who sits on the CSP Council and helps decide CSP policy by submitting motions to the Annual Representatives Council.

Want to tackle physical inactivity? Free tickets to the next regional event – Innovation in Exercise in the North East

Physical inactivity is a major public health problem and it’s something that the CSP North East Regional Network wants to help CSP members tackle.

If you want to get involved register for your free ticket to the next CSP regional event designed to showcase innovation in exercise on Wednesday 16th May from 1:30 to 5:30pm at the Newcastle Falcons Rugby Stadium.

The event programme will feature:

  • Kenny Butler from UK active speaking on how physiotherapy can lead the change to embed physical activity into management of long-term conditions
  • Edward Kunonga, Director of Public Health, Middlesbrough Council, speaking on innovations in tackling physical inactivity across the population
  • Sean Ledger, Teaching Fellow in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Science, Keele University, speaking on Cystic Fibrosis and exercise interventions
  • Sarah Moore, Newcastle University, speaking on exercise following stroke
  • Rebecca Shea, South Tees Hospital, speaking on a water-based approach to COPD
  • Rob Tyer, Connect Health, speaking on strength and musculoskeletal conditioning
  • Plus an introduction to the new CSP campaign, Love Activity, Hate Exercise?, designed to make it easy for physio staff to help get patients and the public more active.

Tickets are free of charge and open for all CSP members to attend including retired, students and associates and well as full members.

It is essential that you register for your ticket online at Places are limited and this event will book up very quickly so don’t delay and book today.
