Vice president nominations

Nominations are invited for the five posts of CSP vice president to serve from 1 December 2011.

Vice Presidents are elected by Council, including the immediate past Chair. They serve an initial two years and are eligible for a second term. All CSP members are eligible to nominate one or more people and the criterion is that the individual has rendered distinguished service to the CSP.

Vice presidents have an important role to play as ambassadors for the Society: they do not hold elective office but may act as the CSP's representatives at the invitation of the Chair or Vice-Chair of Council. They may be involved in Board or regional network affairs, or such groups as the Physiotherapy Research network, Professional alliances/networks, stewards or safety reps, Allied Health Professions Federation or other working parties/ policy groups (internal or external to the CSP) for their expertise and experience, and be invited to co-host the Society's receptions. Council will advise on specific roles, or key areas, which require representation.

Nomination forms, together with full details of the vice-presidents role, are available from Jenny Carey via email careyj@csp.org.uk or phone 020 7306 6642.

They must be returned to the chief executive at the CSP by 5pm on Friday 16 September 2011.
