Ski physios face registration problems

Physios thinking of heading for the slopes to work in ski resorts this season should contact the CSP first, advises its international adviser Birgit Mueller-Winkler.

‘We have had quite a few members contacting us who are having problems with their temporary registration in France,’ she warned. There have been delays in the registration process in the previous years but this year, instead of applying to the Ministry of Health in Paris to gain recognition, physios now have to apply to the appropriate Regional Directorate of Health and Social Affairs. ‘But it seems that some of the regional authorities have not yet taken over this task,’ said Birgit Mueller-Winkler. So, if you’re thinking of a change of direction this winter, make sure you’re not caught out, as without professional registration you won’t be able to work.
