RAF squadron recruits its first physio

Judy Dunn could soon be heading for the battlefield in Afghanistan.

She has been recruited as the first physiotherapist attached to 612 (County of Aberdeen) squadron based at RAF Leuchars in Fife.

‘I have transferred from the Territorial Army so that I can use my physiotherapy skills in a military environment,’ said  Ms Dunn, who previously worked for Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

‘I also wish to expand on my leadership skills.’

Ms Dunn will start her initial officer training course at RAF College Cranwell this month. After graduating with the rank of flying officer in December, she will be eligible to go to Afghanistan
