Nearly two-thirds register on website

Getting on for two-thirds of CSP members are now registered to use the organisation's website, according to the latest figures from the Society.

The figures show 30,000 members have now registered to use the site, an increase of 50 per cent in less than a year. The new site was launched in 2005 and the amount of member-only content has continued to increase.

Many areas of the site require members to log in to see the full content, in particular a lot of the news articles, publications and newsletters.

Member-only items are clearly marked and restrict non-registered members to seeing just a short summary of the full text.

CSP head of new media Rob Ledger said: 'This is a big milestone for the Society and far exceeds the sign-up we've had with any of our previous sites.'We'll be pushing to increase this figure even higher over the coming months with an online member profiling project and clearer explanation of what members can gain by signing up.'

He added: 'Once registered, it's one simple further step to become part of interactiveCSP.'
