Flower power

Peter Le Feuvre, a military physiotherapist based at the Headley Court rehabilitation centre in Surrey, has helped to set up a gardening programme that was showcased at last month’s Chelsea Flower Show in London.

A keen gardener in his spare time, Major Le Feuvre said the Headley Court garden offers patients using prosthetic limbs a chance to negotiate contrasting slopes, steps and cambers.

In addition, he said it gives them ‘somewhere to have some contemplative time to themselves’.

Major Le Feuvre is pictured with royal engineer Captain David Henson in the Courtyard Garden.

Designed for the Chelsea Flower Show by Geoff Whiten to give at taste of what’s offered at the Headley Court garden. it picked up a Royal Horticultural Society award.
