Election results

The results of elections to the CSP's standing committees have been announced.

Although all the vacant seats on the regulatory board were filled, a number of posts remain vacant on the industrial relations, learning and development and professional practice committees, as well as on the physiotherapy assistants board. The Society will therefore be discussing how vacant posts can be filled on a temporary basis. Of those elected, all were unopposed.

Maggi Hardcastle and Iain Loughran were elected as England representatives to the industrial relations committee, with Dave Graham-Woollard as Wales representative. There were no nominations for the Scotland, Northern Ireland and assistant places on the committee. For the learning and development committee, Deborah Bancroft was elected as an England representative, with one vacancy remaining. The educator representative is Karen Atkinson. There were no nominations for the Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and assistant places on the committee.

On the professional practice committee, Patricia Bartley and Mandy Young were elected as England representatives, Elizabeth Hunter as Scotland representative, Jo Rowlands as Wales representative and Elaine McConnell as Northern Ireland representative. There were no nominations for the assistant place on the committee. On the regulatory board the three national places went to Teresa Cook, Stephen Pett and Sally Roberts. For the physiotherapy assistants board Barbara Allan and Jerry Spencer were elected to national positions, with two vacancies remaining.
