Do I have the right to return to work part-time after my maternity leave?

There is no automatic right to return to work part-time. However your employer has a legal obligation to consider any request that you make for reduced or flexible working hours.

If it is not possible to accommodate your request the employer must provide written, objectively justifiable reasons.

The CSP is producing a campaign guide on how to make a successful argument for reduced hours with your employer. If you have a success story to share, email: enquiries@csp.org.uk
