Burning question - rights while working on a bank contract

‘I have been doing band 5 rotations on a bank contract for more than two years.

Surely I have the same rights as everyone else?’

Unfortunately not. If you are working under a bank or zero hours contract you do not accrue the same rights as an employee.

Members who are expected to work regular hours and are essentially treated as a long-term employee should challenge the validity of this arrangement.

This can be done through your CSP steward or by calling the CSP on 020 7306 6666.
