Baroness raises cardiac risk in young people

CSP president Baroness Ilora Finlay has been made a patron of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).

The UK charity works to raise awareness of conditions that can lead to young sudden cardiac death and sudden death syndrome.

She said: ‘CRY has had a huge impact in raising awareness of young sudden cardiac death with coroners, working to provide essential support services for those that have suffered a tragedy and funding free expert fast-track cardiac pathology to reduce the wait for the pathologists’ post mortem for those bereaved.

‘I will be pleased to help them get their important message to as wide an audience as possible.’
