This course is ESSENTIAL if you work with people living with Parkinson's & was developed by Founder, Melissa McConaghy, FACP. Mel has been working with PD patients for 17 years & is 1 of only 7 Specialist Neurological Physiotherapists in Australia. You can read more about Mel further below.

The course has been designed for Health Professionals with experience in treating people with PD & will give you the theoretical & practical skills to apply the core concepts of this intensive & neuro-active exercise approach IMMEDIATELY in clinical practice.

This Level 2 Course is a PRACTICAL WORKSHOP & can only be completed after successful completion of Level 1 Introductory Theory ONLINE.

The Level 2 course is a progression & implementation of the Introductory Theory learned in Level 1. It is expected that you complete the L1 module BEFORE attending the L2 Practical. L2 can be purchased as a bundle with L1 or separately at your discretion.

The practical workshop is delivered face to face & runs for 1 day from 9.00am to 4.30pm. You are expected to participate in the exercise component & come dressed & prepared to exercise HARD! If you have any injuries or restrictions on exercise please advise your trainer.

To give you the best experience of delivering the concepts of PD Warrior, you will be working with volunteer patients who have the PD movement disorder. You require professional indemnity insurance to participate.Sensitivity & confidentiality is expected.


Melissa McConaghy, FACP
As an educator, clinician and author, Melissa is a strong believer in exercise and its importance in the management of progressive conditions. Melissa has been working with Parkinson’s patients for 17 years and is 1 of only 7 Specialist Neurological Physiotherapists in Australia. She is a Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists, Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist and holds a Master of Health Science (Neurological Physiotherapy). Melissa is the past Chair and National Representative of the NSW Neurology Group for the Australian Physiotherapy Association. She has travelled a number of times to the UK to run the PD Warrior health professionals training courses, met with local Parkinson's Associations including Parkinson's UK and has spoke at the ACPIN UK conference.
She is the Founder of PD Warrior an early intervention approach for treating Parkinson’s disease. Melissa is also founder of the INSIGHT Into Parkinson’s Online Summit. This is a world first virtual conference for PD which launched in 2018 and included 30 Speakers from around the world from leading experts in research, neurologists, clinicians and CEOs of Parkinsons organisations including The Michael J. Fox Foundation and Parkinson's UK. Partners included the European Parkinson's Disease Association, the World Federation of Neuro Rehabilitation and more. The event raised nearly £15,000 for Shake It Up Australia Foundation's quest to find a cure.

Melissa is also CEO & Founder of the Advance Rehab Centre in Sydney, Australia. ARC is a team of multi disciplinary clinicians working in a community based rehab service. Over the last 10 years they have built a reputation as one of the most progressive neurological rehab services in Australia.
She has also authored the Amazon best selling book – “The New Parkinson’s Treatment: Exercise is Medicine”

Lynn Tullock, APAM
Lynn graduated from the University of Liverpool in the UK in 2000. She is Senior Neurological Physiotherapist and has worked in the field of both acute and community based neuro rehabilitation in both the UK and Australia. As Clinical Director, Lynn leads the growing multi disciplinary clinical and admin team at Advance Rehab Centre and is the Co-Founder of the PD Warrior program. Lynn is passionate about the provision of therapy services on discharge from the acute hospital setting and inpatient rehabilitation. She works hard to ensure that ARC delivers evidence based and quality rehabilitation along with her team, and which has treated over 400 people since 2012.
