Everything You Wanted to Know About the Shoulder, but Were Afraid to Ask

Join Mr Michael Kurer, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, for a two-hour evening lecture, during which he will impart sector-leading insight into the latest diagnostic techniques, and treatments, for common shoulder problems.
Mr Kurer will provide a refresher on shoulder anatomy before moving on to discuss common disorders you are likely come across, using a series of clinical examples. Clinical examination techniques and their role in formulating a management plan will also be discussed.

The second part of this talk will cover treatment options for common shoulder conditions. Mr Kurer will examine the place for manipulative treatment, cortisone injections and surgery in patient care, and demystify which path might be best for your patients. He will look at when onward referral to a surgeon would be beneficial (and when it wouldn’t be), and will also cover rehabilitation regimes for common shoulder operations that can help your patients get back to their normal lifestyles as quickly and easily as possible.
