Combined Movement Theory Courses

Combined Movement Theory is the development of Dr Brian Edward’s “Combined Movements” to rationally incorporate Spinal Manipulation Techniques, Muscle Energy Techniques and new methods of Mobilisation. The concept promotes rational Manual Therapy for Spinal Dysfunction.

Courses are led Dr Chris McCarthy, PGD Physio, PGD Biomech, PGD Manip Ther, PhD, FCSP, FMACP.
Dr McCarthy is a Clinical Academic Fellow and former NHS Consultant Physiotherapist at Imperial College, now leading the Manchester Movement Unit of The Manchester School of Physiotherapy.

20th-21st Jan –Cervical spine

17th – 18th February - Thoracic / Lumbar Spine

17th March - Upper cervical spine / headaches 

18th March - Examination Day

14th-15th April – Cervical Spine

19th-20th May – Thoracic / Lumbar Spine

23rd June  - Upper cervical spine / headaches 

24th June - Examination Day

14th July - Advanced combined movement summer retreat
